DogeChampions — Consumables (ERC1155)
DogeChampions NFT is not a traditional card collection. Holders of DogeChampions will be able to alter their properties which we have covered in our previous medium story. Altering properties are done using our Consumables.
Consumables in our project represents ERC1155 tokens, which are known as Semi-Fungible Tokens. This token type is a little different from NFTs (ERC721).
While NFTs are unique per token and cannot be stacked, Semi-Fungible Tokens are tokens that can be stacked, but share the same art content with each other. In other words, Semi-Fungible Tokens are unique art contents which you can stack.
We turned Semi-Fungible Token into a functioning unit of our project. When a holder uses our Consumables on their DogeChampions NFTs will be able to max out their properties and increase their chance in winning Tournaments.
How will I use Consumables?
Simply by burning your Semi-Fungible Tokens, you will be altering your NFTs properties.
How will I get Consumables?
Consumables are actually free content in our project. By participating Tournaments, every single user will be rewarded with a Consumable. You can register several Tournaments everyday, and stack up your Consumables.
Another way of getting these is by purchasing from other users. Yes, we will be giving out free Consumables for Tournament participants, but this is not the only way to earn these. Users who doesn’t want to change properties of their NFTs and rather want to sell the Consumables will be able to list those on our marketplace.
What if everyone max out their NFTs’ properties?
This is nearly impossible. Consumables are not always going to increase the properties of DogeChampions. There is also a chance of decrease. However, this is actually something valuable. Thanks to this mechanic, there will be always a need for Consumables, and circulation of these will be always happening in our marketplace. We think that Uncommon NFT holders will not want to burn their Semi-Fungible Tokens as these can also be used on Legendary NFTs, so they will be listing it on our marketplace. Epic and Legendary NFT holders will be buying these mostly, because they will want to increase their chance more in Tournaments as Epic and Legendary type Tournament rewards will make their pockets filled with money!
What if I don’t want to lose my progress on altering properties? Will there be always a chance of decrease?
If you are in a state where you almost maxed out your NFTs’ properties and don’t want to lose it while trying increase to the maximum? Don’t worry, we have Premium Consumables for you.
Premium Consumables
Premium Consumables are also Semi-Fungible Tokens, but these are a special kind. Using these on your NFTs has no chance to decrease the properties! Yes, no matter what, you are not going to be facing with decreases after using Premium Consumables.
Properties of your DogeChampions will either increase, or stay at the value where they were after burning Premium Consumables. This is a protection mechanism for our users who made a serious altering progress on their NFTs.
How will I get Premium Consumables?
Unlike normal Consumables, premium ones are not going to be free content. They will be only sellable by our marketplace for certain amount of BNB. We will be start selling Premium Consumables on our marketplace after we launch our Root Platform.
The reason behind this is, we don’t want whales to jump in at the beginning of our project and max out every single NFT they have by spending money on our Premium Consumables. We want this content to be fair for every user after the release of DogeChampions, so we are aiming to start selling this content after we launch our Root Platform with our second NFT gaming project.
